How to embrace your inner homebody?

We're all homebodies right now, whether you love it or not, so why not make the best of it? Here are four ways to enhance your daily life at home: Claim a small corner in your home just for you. A place where you can read, journal, meditate, or enjoy a cup of coffee. Make this space your own by keeping a cozy blanket and your favorite pillow close.

Cool Stretch Printed Pajama Top

Give your bathroom a soothing upgrade.

Turn your bathroom into a spa-like retreat by upgrading your shower head, adding a wooden shower bench, and some softly luxurious towels.

"Self-care can look different every day. Some days it's taking the time

to slow down and reflect. And some days it's about throwing

on a red lip and going after what you want in your life."

Q + A

How do you stay present?

I spend time with family. Carving out time to connect with my husband and kids is my top priority each day.  I put my phone down. This is a hard one because, as MAED’s editor-in-chief and a content creator, I do spend a decent amount of my day on my phone or computer. I set times during each day when the phone is off-limits. Usually in the evenings and on the weekends.

What does it mean to show up for yourself?

In my opinion, the most important relationship you will ever have in your life is the relationship you have with yourself. If you don't show up for yourself, continuously showing up for everyone and everything else will leave you burnt out and resentful. That's why I am such an advocate for practicing self-care daily. Always ask yourself: on a scale of 1 to 10 how well are you currently taking care of yourself?

Can you share some daily rituals?

I eat a healthy plant-based diet and use clean and non-toxic products because I know what I put in my body truly affects my overall health and mood. I make sure to get at least 30 minutes of movement every day, whether it be via a workout, going for a walk or dancing in my living room. I end my day with a hot shower and a Gua Sha massage. Skincare is a significant component of my self-care routine.
